Janet James is a member of the San Carlos Apache Tribe and serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).  She holds an Associate of Arts and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Haskell Indian Nations University.  Ms. James is an accomplished human resources leader with nearly 20 years of progressive experience driving organizational success through strategic HR management.  As CHRO at the San Carlos Apache Healthcare Corporation, she leads initiatives that align people and strategies with the organization’s mission, vision and values.  Previously, she advanced through HR roles at SCAHC and New Horizon Youth Homes, where she implemented HR programs, managed payroll, and enhanced operational efficiency.  Ms. James’ expertise spans talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation and benefits, and compliance knowledge.  Her career reflects a strong commitment to cultivating high-performing teams and fostering positive workplace cultures.
