About Michael Freeman
Chief Human Resources Officer
SCAHC’s Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), Michael Freeman, is originally from the Chicago area and relocated to Arizona over 30 years ago. He earned a Master of Science degree in Human Resources Management from Golden Gate University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from University of Phoenix.
Michael has been in healthcare for almost 30 years, including acute care, long term care, physician practice, and consulting with private healthcare practices. His experience has been in for-profit, not-for-profit, and tribal healthcare. He served as the Human Resources Director at Gila River Healthcare for eight years.
In addition, Michael has served as an adjunct faculty member at the community college and university level. He taught Human Resources Management, Business, Health Information Management, Personal Finance, Algebra, and Statistics.
