About Melinda White
Director of Quality Management & Compliance
Melinda White received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from Northern Arizona University in 2004 and her Masters of Health Administration in 2010 from University of Phoenix. Melinda recently completed her Masters of Jurisprudence in Indian Law in December 2017 from University of Tulsa. Melinda has over 24 years of healthcare experience working in various departments as Medical Records, Patient Registration, Purchase Referred Care (formerly known as Contract Health Services), Community Health Nursing, and Quality Management. Much of Melinda’s healthcare work experience has been with Tribally operated healthcare facilities that have contracted or compacted under P.L. 93-638. Since obtaining her Nursing degree, positions that Melinda has held include Infection Control Officer, Employee Health Nurse, Risk Manager, Performance Improvement Coordinator, Compliance Officer, and Director of Quality Management. Melinda has extensive experience with hospital and ambulatory accreditation from Arizona State Medical Facility Licensing, the Joint Commission, Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, Inc. (AAAHC), and certification with Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Melinda is passionate about healthcare in Indian Country; she considers her work as a humbling and blessed experience. Melinda truly believes in the concept of incorporating traditional healing into western medicine. She respects the traditions and follows the pathway of Gozho/Hozho.
